About the show

The schedule for the show can be downloaded from the UKAgility website up until the closing date of 18th April 2014.  There will be 5 runs for competing dogs each day – Agility, Jumping, Games & 2 Steeplechase – as well as casual, nursery & junior classes.

For 2014 we have also been awarded 2 qualifiers for the UKA Grand Finals

Camping is available for the weekend at a rate of £20 and you will have access to the Leisure Centre facilities (inc a bar & showers!)

You can now download the ring plan for the weekend from here - CambsK9-RingPlan-June2012.  We will be taking pay on the day entries at £3.70 (you must be a UKA member and bring all your UKA numbers with you to enable us to enter you).

About UKAgility

UKAgility was launched by Greg Derrett and his team back in May 2004 as an alternative competition format to KC Agility. Two progression programmes are offered – performance (incorporating agility, jumping & games classes) and steeplechase. Dogs are able to progress up the two routes completely separately, thus allowing a dog to be champ in steeplechase and beginners in performance (eg), all enabling all dogs to become title champions. Progression through each system is on a points-based system, thus rewarding all qualifying runs in a class, not just the winner each time.  There are 4 different jump heights allowing all sizes to catered for equally, as shown below.

There are 4 levels in each programme too and if you are already competing in another organisation, you are able to transfer across to a similar level in UKA, but once competing in UKA, all wins in different organisations do not count.

UKA also offer casual classes for older dogs or those unable to jump their own heights, nursery classes (no weaves or see-saw) for dogs aged 16 months and over to start their agility career (jumps set height below the dog’s correct height) and junior classes to encourage the next generation of agility competitors.
